29/03/2021 Covid Update Framework

From Monday 29th March the course will reopen subject to Play safe Stay safe Covid 19 Protocols
Golfers may play in up to four balls with no restrictions on the mixing of households.
Gatherings of more than 6 must not take place. Tee times will be at 15 minute intervals .
All members and visitors are to book via: 
-The BRS system – Online or via App
The BRS system will initially be open for Member only bookings –  7 days in advance i.e. for 29th March, bookings will be able to be made by members from Monday 22nd March.
No Visitors or Guests until after 12th April earliest, for the protection of all Members and Staff. Tee time usage will be monitored over this opening period when the Visitor/Guest situation will be reviewed.
Please only book 3 ‘live’ tee times in any 7 day period – providing fair allocation to all Members..
Please honour any tee times booked or cancel if not required. 

The Clubhouse and Locker Rooms are to remain closed, so players should arrive, ready for golf no more than 15 minutes prior to their booked tee time and shoes should be changed in the car park. The toilets at the rear of the Clubhouse will be available as a Gents or Ladies Facility. Please call out before entering.
Locker Rooms remain CLOSED.
Face coverings must be worn in all public indoor areas of the Club – entrance hall, toilet facility. There are some exemptions to wearing face coverings including children under the age of 11 and those with certain disabilities.
All golfers to maintain 2 metre social distancing at all times.
All play is from the 1st tee ONLY.

Buggies must be prebooked. Two members of the same household may share a buggy, but otherwise they should be used by individuals only.

Practice Putting Green: priority should be for players next on the tee.
Practice Area will be closed – to be reviewed

Social distancing must be maintained at all times
No gatherings of more than 6. 

Social distancing to be maintained at all times. Please use the Sanitiser provided at Entrance/Exit gates.
There will be no rake in bunker – players to rake sand with feet or their own club.
In competitions the distance for preferred lies in a bunker is limited to 6 inches and the area cannot be smoothed before placing – New Local Rule.
Golfers are required to leave the flagstick in the hole at all times and not to touch it. The flagstick may be centred by using a club to steady the flagstick while another player putts (this may be desirable in windy conditions), but should not be touched by hand even when wearing a glove or using a towel. The planned review for these ‘no contact’ rules is June 2021.
The trolley/shoe cleaner located at the Entrance Gate is not in use.
Some benches remain on the course, but we ask you not to use them for the protection of all.
We politely  request that you take home your own rubbish as much as possible. Please do not leave plastic bottles or empty cans anywhere on the course. 
On completion of your round please do not congregate around the Clubhouse.
Members own food and drinks may be consumed on the course, but the outside area around the clubhouse must remain closed until 12th April. Please take home your own rubbish.


Clubs may choose to run competitions providing all social distancing and safety rules are observed. 

The following competitions are on the Fixture List and can be booked by members 7 days in advance.

Saturday 10th April: Gents Fred Newby Trophy Stableford

Sunday 11th April: Ladies Dunnerholme Scroll Stableford 

Saturday 17th April: Gents Eley Trophy Stableford 

Sunday 18th April: Ladies Welcome Lady Captain

The Duddon Inshore Rescue Open 4BBB Gents OR Ladies has been rearranged and will now take place on 19th June 2021– entry available now via BRS on the DGC club website. The Grant Evans Trophy match Dunnerholme GC V Barrow GC will now take place on 30th May 2021.

The Dons Senior Section will commence their weekly competitions on 30th March 2021.

Competition Rules & Instructions plus T&C’s will be issued 2nd April 2021.

Greens Staff have priority at all times.
There will be regular cleaning toilet facilities and wash basin areas.
Remember, if you are feeling unwell or show any symptoms such as a cough or high temperature, please do not come to the Club.

These guidelines are not permanent and maybe updated or amended as required.
