A cold but fine morning greeted the early starters, but a strengthening wind made the Long Hole quite a challenge! It was lovely to welcome visitors from as far afield as Huddersfield, and from the county, Whitehaven Cockermouth and Seascale as well as near neighbours Furness. The forecast was for rain after lunch, but fortune was on our side and the whole field got round with only a cursory nod to a shower.

The Vice Captain Steve Knott and Lady Captain Elaine Harris, welcomed the players.

In second Place from Cockermouth with 41points Les and Chris Clarke. It was a lucky day for Chris as she won the 50/50 Draw as well.

The Winners with 42 points Brian and Cath Fallows from Dunnerholme.

The Ladies Section were on hand to “feed and water” the players and with their usual mouth watering dessert trolley and homemade cakes rounded off a successful and enjoyable day.
