There was a full field for the Ladies Open, the format this year was a Waltz. Teams from Ulverston, Furness, Barrow, Seascale and Dunnerholme played in idyllic conditions, with a course to match. The course was tough but fair, and the scores reflected some tough pin positions. The winners from Ulverston with 74 Points were Judith Simpson, Mary Rhodes and Pauline Parkin. Dunnerholme Ladies, Larraine Morrison, Sheila Burley and Janice Parkes were second, and Gill Punton, Val Kirkwood and Eileen Sutton from Furness were third.
