Winner of the 2014 Masters – Ryan CarterThe competition for the Masters was played on Sunday 7th September. It was a lovely calm day with no wind, the fairways were running and the greens were fast. The ideal conditions were reflected in the morning scores CSS was 69. The best rounds Ryan Carter’s 67 and Mark Hendley’s 68.
The afternoon proved more testing with a modest wind, CSS was 71.
Tyron Currie’s 70, the best round of the afternoon, bettered his morning round of 72 to take him into third place, but Ryan Carter’s afternoon 72 gave him the overall lead, with the winning combined score of 139, narrowly beating Mark Hendley into second place by one shot.
