THE WINNERS OF THE 2015 MIXED OPEN

After the disappointment of the cancellation (for the 2nd time) of the Duddon Inshore Rescue Charity Open, Bank Holiday Monday dawned dry and sunny for the Mixed Open.
The course was looking pristine and 26 couples had signed up for the contest.
The Honours went to the Furness husband and wife team, David and Jane Trelore with 43 points.
Les and Christine Clarke from Workington were in the prizes for the second year in succession taking second prize with 42 points.
Dunnerholme couple Sheila Burley and Vick Buck were third with 41 points.
Nearest the pin was awarded on the 6th, the prize went to Cath Fallows from Dunnerholme. There were only three “2’s” – Les Clarke, Victor Buck and Marion Glassbrook.
Dunnerholme Ladies Section kept the field fed and watered, with all proceeds going to the Captain’s Charity.
Dunnerholme is beholden to the Volunteers from all sections who helped to make the Mixed Open a great success.
