June 1st, Saturday morning, it was an early start for the Dunnerholme Ladies in order to access the club before the road was closed for the Carnival Traffic. Overcast and grey though the weather was, it didn’t deter their enthusiasm, and the players mostly stayed dry, with one notable exception, Paula, who fell in the beck at the 12th retrieving a golf ball! Undeterred she soldiered on, with squelching shoes and a make-do change of clothes.
The members and guests all joined in the putting competition after the game and then tucked into a lovely hot buffet, followed by the presentation and “Dunnerholme style festivities!” Thank-you Lady Captain for a Most enjoyable Lady Captain’s Day.
