Once again the day proved perfect for Dunnerholme’s Open Competition. 16 teams set out from 9.30am onwards in the Ladies Open Waltz. The rain had refreshed the course, and it looked green and pristine. It was lovely to see visiting ladies from clubs near and far, and ladies from Ulverston, Silecroft and Barrow featured in the prizes. The first place, however, went to a home team, who must have been on top form, Lynda Preston, Pat Barton and Meg Tyson, with a great score of 85.
