Whichever Weather Gods the Lady Captain follows, they certainly turned up trumps for the Ladies Open Today. Sunshine and a balmy breeze in the morning, and uninterrupted sun all afternoon was the order of the day for the competitors. Everyone enjoyed the course and the golf followed by a lovely meal provided by the Dunnerholme Ladies.
First Prize with a lovely score of 82 went to Dunnerholme Ladies, Chris Burton, Katherine Burley and Sheila Burley. Runners Up – Dunnerholme Team, Lynda Preston, Pat Barton and Meg Tyson. In third place on a card play off,  from Furness – Gill Punton, Alison Wood and Val Kirkwood.
