President’s Day Saturday 4th August 2018

President’s Day dawned sunny and warm with a cooling breeze – in fact – perfect golfing weather. Gone the jinx of past years’s President’s Days – the sun was shining on the righteous!
70 hopefuls played through the day, and everyone was keen to be out on the fairways again after the week of rain even though it was very much needed. The course is beginning to look green again, although the greens will take a little more time to recover. But not withstanding the extraordinary meteorological summer, it was great to be golfing.
The course conditions were perfect for Tyron Currie, who won the day with a Gross 70 nett 67. Gary Regan Gross 78 Net 69  was second and Ryan Carter Gross 74 nett 70 third.
The Ladies played for the Lady President’s Cup, which was won by Carol Quint, from Chris Burton second and third Larraine Morrison. Chris Pearce cleaned up on the NTP prizes on the 4th and second shot on the 18th.
