President’s Day 2019

The President Mr. Steve Knott, once again was blessed with good weather for his President’s Day and early morning saw a full field set off on course to play for The Presidents Cup. 
The course was prepared for a perfect round of golf,  and fortified with bacon buns courtesy of Paula, the competitors were full of enthusiasm and high hopes.
There were some excellent scores, with Alan Bolton having a net 66 to take First Prize. A close second Geoff Pearce with 67 and Martin Morrison third on a card playoff.
Likewise the Ladies had a close game, with a card playoff needed for all three places. First place going to Larraine Morrison, with Lady Captain losing out on the back nine for second and Irene Brough third.
Derek turned out to be the unlucky name of the day, as Derek Clinton fell in the beck, and Derek New lipped out for a hole in one, and scored 68, fourth, just out of the prizes, but on bright side, he was in credit with golf balls, he went round with the same ball, and won a half a dozen balls for his 2.
Once again the evening was “Epic Dunnerholme” with good food, good company, and great entertainment.
