Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)<\/span><br><strong>i.<\/strong> A Ball is out of bounds when it is beyond any white stakes or lines  defining the boundary of the course.<br><strong>ii<\/strong>. The Course boundary fence beside the railway.<br><strong>iii<\/strong>. The Clubhouse Complex, including the putting green.<br><strong>iv<\/strong>. 1st\/11th \u2013 Perimeter fence\/hedge on the left and on or over the road on the right.<br>NB \u2013 5th White stakes beyond the green relate to 7th and DO NOT define OOB on the 5th<br><strong>v. <\/strong>6th \u2013 Cottages, buildings and gardens to the right and wooden shed complex to the left.<br><strong>vi.<\/strong> 7th \u2013 Cottages, buildings and gardens to the right.<br><strong>vii.<\/strong> 10th\/18th \u2013 Area defined by white stakes to the right, workshop complex as defined by stone wall, building and the white stakes and the boundary fence at the back of the green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">2. Abnormal Course Conditions (including immovable obstructions) (Rule 16.1)<\/span><br><strong>i.<\/strong> Any artificially surfaced pathways. Roads, marker discs, telegraph poles and drain covers are immovable objects.<br><strong>ii.<\/strong> At the players option, dung from sheep may be treated either as<br><strong>a)<\/strong> Loose impediment that may be removed under Rule 15.1 or<br><strong>b). <\/strong>Ground Under Repair from which relief is allowed under Rule 16.1<br><em>If the dung is found on the putting green, the player may also use the greens switch\/whip, located by the putting greens, to remove the dung from the line of play. If doing so improves the line of play or other conditions affecting the stroke, there is no penalty under Rule 8.1a.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">3. Penalty Area\u2019s (Rule17)<\/span><br>When a player\u2019s ball is in a penalty area, including when it is known or virtually certain to be in a penalty area, even though not found, the player may take relief using one of the options under Rule 17.1b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">4. Ball deflected by overhead power line.<\/span><br>If it is known or virtually certain that a players ball hit a power line or a wire of pole supporting a power line during the play of holes 5\/15 and 8\/16 the stroke does not count.\u00a0<br>The player must play a ball, without penalty, from where the previous stroke was made (see Rule 14.6 for instruction)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">5. Integral Parts of the Course<\/span><br>Walls, bridges, boulders, steps and built up tees are integral parts of the course. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>March 2021   &#8211;  LOCAL RULE IN PLAY 2021 Covid10 Protocol <br><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">6. Ball in Bunker<\/span><br>When a player\u2019s ball lies in a bunker, the player may take free relief once, by placing the original ball or another ball within 6 inches of the original ball, but still within the bunker and not nearer the hole. <br>Penalty for Playing Ball from a wrong place in Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty Under Rule 14.7a.<br><em>(You <strong>CANNOT<\/strong> lift the ball, smooth the bunker, and then replace it)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOCAL RULES &#8211; MAY 2020\u00a0Subject the change, late 2020 due to the introduction of Worldwide Handicapping System1.
