In response to the government\u2019s announcement, we will be closing our Clubhouse facility from Thursday 19th March 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will be cancelling ALL Competive golf from our Fixture List for the foreseeable future. This includes Welcome Captain competitions, Friendly and Open Fixtures and Captains Trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our priority is to protect our staff, members and visitors but our mental health is important too. Therefore we are intending to keep the GOLF COURSE OPEN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This, of course, may change as the Government make future announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The front door of the clubhouse will be open for access to the entrance hall only, for collection of score cards, \u2018signing in\u2019 etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Locker Room facilities will be locked from Monday 23rd March onwards. We therefore are advising that members take all their equipment home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Gents outside toilet facility will change to Gents\/Ladies Toilets so we ask that you take this into consideration when using the conveniences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Golf is unique as it requires no person to person contact. The clubhouse will be closed, so change in the car park, take reasonable precautions and play golf! The loss of all recreational activity, social discussions, and time spent walking in fresh air could have serious long term effects on the physical health and mental wellbeing of golfers. #keepplayinggolf<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 We are recommending that you do not gather in large groups.
\n\u00b7 Take all your equipment home.
\n\u00b7 Do not remove the flagstick, whilst playing but if you do remove it, consider using your gloved hand.
\n\u00b7 Do not share range finding equipment, particularly that which requires putting it to your eye.
\n\u00b7 Keep your distance from your playing partners.
\n\u00b7 Do not shake hands at the conclusion of your game.
\n\u00b7 After play, ensure that you wash your hands as advised by Public Health England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will continue to keep you informed, via the Club Website, social media and email. We are facing unprecedented challenges and the financial implications are serious for us all. Our hope is that we can ALL get through this and return to some sort of normality at the earliest opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Away from golf, it is vital that everyone continues to follow best practice when it comes to dealing with the current outbreak of coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
